Another similar situation is phoning your ex when you have been drinking alcohol. This is a common mistake as a lot of people seek alcohol as solace after a relationship break up. This impacts on the potential to get your ex back and can also lead to other negative things in your life. It is far too easy to say something that you will regret the next morning if you decide to phone your ex when you are drunk.

Another mistake that people make, which is very easy to do after a break up, is to lose all self esteem and give in to self pity. This is detrimental to your health mentally and physically. Sitting at home alone watching television does little to boost your ego and self confidence. Although it is difficult, it is best to keep yourself busy. Visit friends or make new ones, take up new hobbies and interests. Your ex will make no consideration for you if you do not have the willpower to be optimistic and keep your life on track. Feeling sorry for yourself is not a redeeming feature!
